Registration not required to receive gov't gifted staple food

The government has announced that staple foods will be distributed to all households during Ramadan without the need for registration. The announcement was made following reports from certain media outlets suggesting that households will have to register in a portal to receive staple foods.

In a post on X, Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar confirmed that no one is required to register to get the staple foods. Furthermore, he assured that rice and flour will be provided to households in Male' City without the requirement of registration.

Each household will receive 10kg of rice and 10kg of flour throughout the month of Ramadan as part of this initiative.
