Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL) has disclosed that it remains unpaid an amount exceeding USD363,000 for flights use by the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) during the last presidential election campaign in 2023.

IASL, which operates the national airline, Maldivian, has stated that it has sent multiple letters in pursuit of recovering a sum totaling USD365,101 attributable to tickets and charter flights used by MDP. The outstanding sums pertain to 10 trips undertaken between September and October of the preceding year.
