Maldives and UAE discusses further enhancing relations

The Maldives and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has held discussions to further enhance relations in various areas of mutual interest.

The discussions took place during a meeting held between President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Vice President, Prime Minister, and Minister for Defence of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2024.

During their discussion, President Dr. Muizzu and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum engaged in a comprehensive dialogue on various issues of mutual interest. It included enhancing relations between the Maldives and the UAE in trade, tourism, and other development issues. They also discussed pressing global matters such as climate change and energy sustainability.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both leaders expressing their shared aspiration to continue strengthening the amicable relations between the Maldives and the UAE.
