President reassures pledges to Feeali once budget is settled

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reassured his commitment to fulfilling his pledges to Feeali in Faafu Atoll, once the budget becomes available. He made the assurance during the "Raees ge Javaab" series, which enables direct public interaction with the President on various issues.

Ibrahim Shanoon from Feeali expressed concerns to President Dr. Muizzu regarding government projects aimed at addressing issues in Feeali. He conveyed his concern about the land reclamation work initiated by the previous administration, noting that part of the site has eroded due to project delays. He also inquired about road construction and harbor expansion, both of which were pledged by the President.

In response, President Dr. Muizzu informed that the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is currently tasked with relocating the necessary stone for revetment in the reclaimed area. He assured that the work would be completed promptly, along with the revetment.

Additionally, President Dr. Muizzu affirmed his commitment to fulfilling pledges made to Feeali, emphasising that these efforts would resume once the budget is settled. He highlighted road development as a major commitment, stating that main roads across many islands, including Feeali, will be constructed to high standards. He also assured that harbor expansion in Feeali remains a priority and will be pursued accordingly.
