"President should be granted adequate time for desired developed"

Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, has highlighted the need to grant President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu sufficient time for bringing about sustainable development and positive changes in alignment with the evolving times. He conveyed this message during a meeting with the residents of Maradhoo and Maradhoo-Feydhoo in Addu City, part of the president's ongoing tour of Addu City.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Adam Shareef highlighted the projects envisioned by Dr. Muizzu are extensive compared to the current revenue of the country. He urged the public to understand that such large-scale projects cannot be initiated all at once, and ongoing projects may extend beyond a single presidential term. The minister advocated that people should not hesitate to give a capable leader two presidential terms.

Moreover, the minister underscored the Mayor of Addu City's endorsement of President Dr. Muizzu's effective implementation of the decentralisation system in the country. He noted that even opposition parties acknowledge the president's efforts in strengthening the system.

Minister Adam Shareef emphasised the full cooperation of the parliament is necessary for the government and urged the public to support government endorsed candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
