Faresmaathodaa Council shares concerns with President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has with members of the Faresmaathoda Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat of Faresmaathoda, Gaafu Dhaalu Alifu.

The Council brought forward several key concerns impacting the island, such as limited port space, housing issues, the necessity for housing units in reclaimed areas, the paused construction of a football field, the need for high-quality roads, the significance of a spacious Friday mosque, and challenges in waste management. Additionally, they discussed notable economic developments on the island.

In the meeting, the WDC highlighted the presence of individuals with chronic diseases on the island. They also emphasised the importance of having a specialist doctor and access to medical tests locally.

President Dr. Muizzu acknowledged the concerns raised by the council and assured them the administration would thoroughly assess and address the issues. Following the meeting, the President presented the Council members with a copy of the book 'Dhivehinge Raajje,' containing speeches of the President during the Presidential Election campaign.
