Fiyoaree Council shares its developmental needs

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met members of the Council of Fiyoaree, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Fiyoaree Island Council Secretariat today.

During the meeting, the Council members outlined their primary needs and developmental concerns, highlighting the importance of establishing a cold storage facility and a fish factory on the island. They also emphasised issues such as space constraints at the school, the need for increasing the powerhouse capacity, challenges in healthcare services, housing difficulties, and the necessity for a proper drainage system in agricultural fields. The financial constraints faced by the Council were also shared with the President.

Addressing the meeting, the President reassured the council that the Administration is committed to fulfilling its developmental commitments to the island. Furthermore, he affirmed that the concerns raised by the council have been duly noted and will be thoroughly examined.
