President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with members of the Island Council of Nadella, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Madaveli Island Council Secretariat.
During the meeting, the Council members highlighted several concerns, including the island's shortage of ports, erosion, limited space in schools and health centers, and the necessity to increase the capacity of the island's power plant. Additionally, they conveyed the need for land reclamation and the expansion of the agricultural sector to create employment opportunities for young people, along with other development plans.
In response, the President reassured the Council that the Administration would remain committed to delivering on its developmental commitments to the island.
