President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Island Council of Hoadedhdhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Madaveli Island Council Secretariat.
During the meeting, the council members highlighted their concerns, including tidal waves and soil erosion. They also brought attention to issues related to the construction of the school's science lab and youth center, along with the need for improvements to the island's roads.
The WDC of Hoadedhdhoo, similar to counterparts on other islands, raised challenges faced as non-civilian servants and the absence of certain benefits enjoyed by other civil servants.
In response, the President acknowledged the concerns of the WDC members and expressed his commitment to addressing them by working towards amending relevant laws. He further assured that he would carefully address the concerns raised by the Council members.
