The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched its inaugural annual visionary forum named Take off 2024.
The two-day forum will be held at Crossroads Maldives. The primary aim of the forum is to align the efforts of diverse departments of MACL and share the objectives set for the year, fostering collaborative efforts to achieve them.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed highlighted the rapid evolution of the air transport industry and emphasized the importance of MACL officials staying abreast of these changes.
Additionally, Shareef stressed the need to avoid solely focusing on short-term challenges, cautioning against jeopardising future prospects. He also emphasised the necessity for adaptability and timely responses to market fluctuations, citing a lack of foresight as a common pitfall leading to company failures.
The Take Off 2024 forum marks the maiden endeavor of MACL aimed at strengthening the company's management structure and outlining the year's agenda. Attendees included the CEO Shareef, the Deputy Managing Director, as well as heads of divisions, departments, and sections within the company. Another such forum is slated for later in the year.
