President has laid new political foundation for youth: Gov't

Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts Ibrahim Waheed has emphasised that the current administration under President Dr. Muizzu's leadership has established a foundation for youth engagement in politics. He conveyed this message during a gathering with Gemanafushi residents, part of the President's ongoing tour across islands in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, and the North and South Huvadhoo Atolls.

Speaking at the gathering, Minister Waheed highlighted President Dr. Muizzu's initiative in establishing a dedicated ministry for youth affairs, signaling a focused commitment to addressing youth concerns.

Additionally, Minister Waheed emphasised that President Dr. Muizzu's efforts have ushered in a new era of youth empowerment, ensuring that the government prioritises youth inclusion in decision-making processes. He underscored the government's efforts to facilitate youth participation in national matters and provide avenues for their input and engagement.

Furthermore, Minister Waheed praised President Dr. Muizzu's consideration of youth perspectives in various policy decisions, citing increased opportunities for youth involvement in areas such as housing, healthcare, and pilgrimage arrangements. He noted that alongside enabling youth participation in national affairs, the President has instituted mechanisms for soliciting youth opinions and suggestions on diverse issues.
