President meets Dhidhdhoo Island Council and WDC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the members of the Dhidhdhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat of the Dhidhdhoo Council.

During the meeting, the Council brought forth key concerns of the community to the President, including the imperative need for road development, the provision of more sporting facilities for the youth, and improvements to the transportation system.

Council Members stressed the urgent necessity for upgrading the island's hospital and highlighted the dire condition of the Dhidhdhoo powerhouse, necessitating an immediate solution. The Council pledged unwavering support to President Dr. Muizzu's Administration, expressing confidence in the ongoing projects. Additionally, the Council briefed the President on future development plans for the island.

Within the meeting, members of the WDC drew attention to space limitations at their office and budget constraints.

President Dr. Muizzu, during the meeting, reiterated his commitment to fulfill all pledges made. He assured that the Administration would thoroughly examine the issues raised by the Council and explore feasible solutions. The attending Ministers provided updates on the Government's initiatives related to the Council's concerns.

Prior to the Dhidhdhoo Council meeting, the President officially inaugurated the new Secretariat building of the Dhidhdhoo Council.
