President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has with the members of the Haa Alifu i Atoll Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting took place at the Haa Alifu Atoll Education Center.
During the meeting, the Atoll Council members stressed the necessity to modernise services at the Atoll Hospital. Various pressing issues within the atoll were also highlighted, with the Council having communicated their needs and concerns to the relevant ministries. Discussions revolved around strategies to enhance income in the HA Atoll region, along with a call to improve transportation infrastructure.
Budget constraints and a shortage of space in council offices on some islands in the Haa Alifu Atoll were additional points of concern raised by the members. Given the atoll's designation as a fishing area, they requested the installation of Fish Aggregating Devices.
Addressing the gathering, President Dr. Muizzu reaffirmed his commitment to exerting every effort to implement recommendations for the atoll's improvement. He emphasized the importance of swift solutions and resolving the most pressing issues faced by the Haa Alifu Atoll.
