President meets Nolhivaranfaru Island Council and WDC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has held a meeting with the Island Council of Nolhivaranfaru, Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members at Nolhivaranfaru School.

Throughout the meeting, the Council members briefed the President on their developmental requirements, covering initiatives such as the police station, the acceleration of road construction, and the establishment of a new school. They also requested a salary increase for the administrative staff of the Council, an improved transport system, and enhancements to sports facilities for youth development. Additionally, they expressed their desire to witness the implementation of the budgeted developmental initiatives and conveyed assurance that every commitment by the Administration would be fulfilled. They also expressed gratitude to the President for fostering strong relationships.

Members of the Nolhivaranfaru WDC emphasised their budgetary constraints. In response, the President acknowledged the necessity of increasing the WDC Committee's budget and outlined the Administration's strategy to address this concern. Moreover, the President assured them that the Administration would thoroughly address all the issues raised during the meeting, reinforcing a commitment to the comprehensive development of Nolhivaranfaru.
