President meets Makunudhoo Island Council and WDC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with Island Council of Makunudhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members at the Fenaka Office on Makunudhoo.

During the meeting, Council members highlighted their most vital development needs, with transportation identified as their most significant challenge. They emphasized the need to develop an airport on the island and also stressed road development, improving remuneration for council administrative staff, and extending the Council's jurisdiction to cover the entire Makunudhoo lagoon. Additionally, discussions were held on sports development and further improvements to Makunudhoo School and Health Centre.

WDC members requested the implementation of human resource development initiatives with their active participation.

In response, President Muizzu assured the Council members that he would address the concerns raised during the meeting. Cabinet Ministers provided updates on the Administration's ongoing efforts to address the highlighted issues, reaffirming a commitment to the comprehensive development and well-being of Makunudhoo.
