President stresses electing parliamentarians prioritising nationalism

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has emphasised the importance of electing candidates who prioritise nationalism and development, stating that this is crucial for the nation's journey towards progress. He made the remarks during a gathering with residents of Nellaidhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

Speaking at the gathering, President Dr. Muizzu acknowledged the nation's strides in overcoming economic challenges but pointed out obstacles posed by both government and opposition members. He criticised the disruptive actions of the Parliament of the Maldives, deeming them unfit for a responsible governing body.

Additionally, President Dr. Muizzu urged patriotic citizens to comprehend the current parliamentary proceedings, emphasising the necessity of public cooperation to counteract individuals disrupting economic growth and national advancement. Stressing the importance of garnering governmental support in the upcoming parliamentary election, he underscored the need to prioritise national and developmental interests over personal agendas.
