President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the members of the Island Council of Kurin'bi, Haa Dhaalu Atoll and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat Office.
During the meeting, the Council requested the Administration to expedite stalled projects on the island. They also highlighted the need for waste management, a multipurpose hall at the school, and 24-hour service at the island health centers. Additionally, the Council requested the Government to allocate a budget for constructing an artificial beach on the island and operating the preschool.
The Kurin'bi's WDC expressed concerns regarding the inability to conduct activities due to budgetary constraints.
In response, President Dr. Muizzu assured that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates on the Government's efforts to address the issues raised by the Council, emphasizing a collaborative approach to ensure the comprehensive development of Kurin'bi.
