President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has held a meeting with the HDh. Nolhivaram Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members at the Secretariat of the South Thiladhunmathi Atoll Council.
During the meeting, Council members presented their development needs to the President. They emphasised the importance of expanding the harbor, adopting a single-session schooling system, upgrading the health center to a hospital, implementing proper waste management, and providing water and electricity service coverage to agricultural fields. Additionally, they conveyed the need for developing sporting facilities and ATM services on the island. The Council members also requested the resumption of halted projects slated for the island.
WDC members also shared their challenges with the President during the meeting.
In response, the President expressed his commitment to exploring feasible solutions to address the concerns raised at the meeting. This collaborative approach aims to address the specific needs and development priorities of Nolhivaram for the overall well-being of its residents.
