President meets Milandhoo Island Council and WDC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the members of the Sh. Milandhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the secretariat of the Milandhoo Council.

The Council discussed crucial components for the island's development during the meeting. As such, they requested to establish housing units, renovate the council office, and expedite the construction of a children's park. Furthermore, they affirmed their desire to complete ongoing projects and safeguard the island's eroding areas.

The Milandhoo WDC emphasised the necessity of a conducive working environment. They also underscored issues stemming from budgetary constraints and requested improved remuneration for the members.

In response, the President assured the members that the Administration would thoroughly examine the concerns brought forward by the Council. Ministers in attendance provided updates on the Government's current initiatives to resolve the issues raised by the Council. This meeting reflects the collaborative efforts to address the specific developmental needs of Milandhoo and enhance the overall well-being of the community.
