President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has affirmed that the airport project in Milandhoo is set to materialise a 100%. He made the commitment while speaking at a gathering with the residents of Milandhoo, Shaviyani Atoll.
Speaking at the gathering, President Dr. Muizzu reiterated his dedication to advancing the development of Milandhoo, a pledge he made during his campaign. He emphasised the airport project as a top priority, ensuring its materialisation for the benefit of the citizens. He also said that the project marks the government's foremost commitment to Milandhoo.
Additionally, President Dr. Muizzu acknowledged the eagerness of the residents and local council for the swift progress of the airport project upon his arrival in Milandhoo. He noted the expressions of hope displayed through posters around the island and at the harbour. Reaffirming his pledge, he assured the populace of making the airport project a reality.
Furthermore, President Dr. Muizzu outlined a comprehensive plan to address various needs in the island. He said that it includes the establishment of an Islamic centre, modernisation of the island hospital, infrastructure improvements such as road construction, the development of sports facilities, and tackling the housing shortage.
