President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has convened with members of the Island Council of Funadhoo, Shaviyani Atoll and Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat of the Shaviyani Atoll Council.
During the meeting, Council members presented their development needs, including the establishment of a youth centre, runway expansion at the airport, construction of an Islamic Centre, and the development of ecotourism in line with the President's previous commitment.
The Funadhoo WDC also voiced the necessity for sports development and sought Government support for constructing a "Women's Centre" on the island. President Muizzu affirmed the Administration's commitment to addressing these concerns, and the attending Ministers provided updates on the Government's ongoing efforts to tackle these issues.
