President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has convened with the members of the Fohdhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat of the South Miladhunmadulu Atoll Holhudhoo Council.
During the meeting, Council members discussed their development needs and highlighted challenges faced by the island's community. Issues raised included the necessity to establish ATM services on the island, given the rising local tourism statistics, a youth centre, the development of a park, and the urgency to expedite harbour development.
The Fohdhoo WDC members expressed the challenges they encounter due to budget constraints. In response, the President assured that the Administration would actively work towards addressing the concerns raised by the Council. The ministers present at the meeting provided the latest updates on the Government's ongoing efforts to resolve the highlighted issues.
