President meets Kudafari Council and WDC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the members of the Kudafari Island Council, where Council members shared their development needs and shed light on the current challenges faced by the island’s residential community.

The Council members emphasized the urgent need for housing, shore protection, and the establishment of an industrial zone. They also highlighted the importance of harbour development and relocating the powerhouse to the industrial zone. Council members detailed their efforts towards women's empowerment and the facilitation of income sources.

Additionally, the Women's Development Committee (WDC) underscored their challenges due to an unsuitable work environment.

The President assured the members that the Administration would thoroughly examine the concerns raised by the Council. Ministers present at the meeting provided updates on the Government's ongoing initiatives to address the issues brought to the forefront by the Council.
