Leader of the Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) and Parliamentarian Ahmed Siyam has expressed confidence in President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's ability to drive the desired development for citizens. He made these remarks during a gathering with Meedhoo residents in Dhaalu Atoll, as part of the President's ongoing visit to the atolls.
Speaking at the gathering, Siyam emphasised the government's commitment to delivering optimal benefits to the citizens, urging full cooperation from them. He also cautioned against being swayed by opposition rhetoric, highlighting the need for united support to advance developmental initiatives.
Additionally, Siyam underscored the significance of securing a parliamentary majority for effective governance, stressing its importance in realising President Dr. Muizzu's development agenda. He also urged the government to strive for a comprehensive majority in Parliament.
Furthermore, Siyam envisioned unprecedented developmental strides under President Dr. Muizzu's leadership, asserting confidence in the President's ability to fulfill commitments. He mentioned potential financial assistance from supportive nations and clarified his advocacy for development stems from public interests rather than personal agendas.
