Permanent mosque officially opens in Hulhumale' Phase II

The Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has officially inaugurated Masjid Hassan Adam in Hulhumale' Phase II after Friday prayers. The mosque, developed by an individual, is now open to the public.

Minister Dr. Shaheem highlighted the significance of this permanent mosque, especially in providing convenience for the residents of Hulhumale' Phase II during the Holy month of Ramadan. He emphasised the need to instill a love for praying in mosques, the construction of these places of worship, and the importance of maintaining their cleanliness. Dr. Shaheem urged collective responsibility in ensuring the mosque's cleanliness and maintenance.

Constructed to modern standards, Masjid Hassan Adam can accommodate up to 1,500 worshippers. It is one of the five mosques currently under development in Hulhumale' Phase II. Alongside Masjid Hassan Adam, initiatives have been launched to establish mosques with capacities for 2,800, 3,000, 1,500, and 1,162 individuals in the same area.
