President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has declared Naifaru as one of the seven urban centers slated for development by the administration. This announcement was made during the President's address at a gathering with the residents of Naifaru, Lhaviyani Atoll.
Emphasising the importance of sustainable development for the nation's growth, President Dr. Muizzu highlighted the master plan to develop seven urban centers that will provide advanced services across various sectors in a sustainable manner.
The President outlined the comprehensive scope of the urban centers, which includes essential healthcare services and diverse therapy options. He also emphasized plans to elevate the education system, improve road infrastructure, and ensure comprehensive development across all sectors.
Acknowledging that a previous land expansion project in Naifaru fell short of residents' expectations, President Dr. Muizzu assured that the current administration's project would successfully reclaim 45 hectares of land, aligning with the aspirations of Naifaru's residents. He underscored the substantial community benefits that would result from this endeavor.
