Minister stresses importance of learning Quran

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has urged individuals to learn, understand, and act upon the teachings and principles of the Holy Quran. He made the remark speaking at the Ihyaa Forum held on the nights throughout the Holy month of Ramadan. The topic of the session held was; the connection between the Holy Quran and our lives.

Emphasising the importance of building a strong generation that follows Quranic principles for the betterment of lives, the minister highlighted the relevance of Quranic stories as constant reminders for students and young generations.

Dr. Shaheem underscored that the Quran was revealed during a time of extreme polytheism, injustice, corruption, and atrocious acts, serving as a guide to address these issues and bring about positive changes in the world. He stressed the Quran's role as a source of guidance and enlightenment, asserting that it would protect and intercede for those who recite it on the Day of Resurrection.

Furthermore, the minister noted that the Quran encompasses principles relevant to every field, making it a comprehensive guide for life unlike any other Shariah or philosophy in history. He encouraged fostering love for the Holy Quran, particularly during Ramadan, and urged everyone to engage with its teachings.

The Ihyaa Forum, attended by school students and officials of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, provided a platform to discuss the connection between the Holy Quran and everyday life, emphasising its significance in shaping individual behavior and societal norms.
