Individuals aid in mosque construction across three islands

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has entrusted the construction of mosques in Alifushi, Raa Atoll; Hulhudhoo, Addu City; and Hulhumale' phase II to private individuals, funded by independent contributors. At the agreement signing ceremony, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed officiated the contract signing.

Abdul Rahman, who will personally cover all expenses, formally signed the agreement for the mosque in Alifushi, which is planned to accommodate 570 people and be completed within 732 days.

Similarly, Mohamed Solih will oversee the construction of the mosque in Hulhudhoo, which will be located in Moonlight Lane and cater to 200 individuals simultaneously. This self funded project is scheduled to commence fully within 720 days.

In Hulhumale' phase II, Mohamed Yusuf will undertake the construction of the mosque in lot number 22115 (N 5-35), with full financial responsibility.

Minister Shaheem previously confirmed that Islamic Ministry would provide the necessary land and administrative support to individuals interested in building mosques. This initiative reflects the administration's commitment to facilitating such provisions for private donors, a key policy of the present government.
