President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed unwavering confidence in fulfilling the promises made to the citizens, emphasising the essential role of parliamentary cooperation in achieving these objectives.
During the "Raees ge Javaabu" series, he addressed concerns raised by citizen Ismail Niyaz regarding past unfulfilled pledges by previous administrations and the extent of his confidence in fulfilling his promises.
In response, President Muizzu affirmed that his administration has diligently worked towards fulfilling nearly all the promises outlined in the first 100 days or Week-14 roadmap, achieving a commendable 97% fulfillment rate. However, he underscored the necessity of parliamentary cooperation, particularly in enacting laws pertaining to housing and structural development, to fully realise these commitments. President Muizzu stressed that without parliamentary cooperation, the implementation of these laws would pose significant challenges.
The President acknowledged existing obstacles resulting from a lack of parliamentary cooperation, highlighting constraints in project budgets and allocations. Many proposed projects were allotted limited budgets, necessitating accelerated execution in the last quarter of the previous year.
Furthermore, President Muizzu asserted that with enhanced cooperation from the parliament, the government would overcome existing challenges and progress swiftly. He noted that cooperation would enable the government to operate at the required pace, ultimately leading to positive changes in the current situation.
