President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with members of the Isdhoo Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) at the Isdhoo Council Secretariat to address pressing issues affecting the island's residents.
During the meeting, Council members expressed satisfaction with the President's prompt visit within the initial five months of his presidency and appreciated the opportunity to engage directly with him. They urged to resolve jurisdictional tensions in Isdhoo and Kalaidhoo peacefully.
The Council emphasised the necessity of developing an efficient airport to serve Isdhoo, Kalaidhoo, and Dhanbidhoo residents, alongside upgrading healthcare facilities to transform the Isdhoo Health Centre into a hospital and improving banking services.
Furthermore, they stressed the importance of enhancing educational standards, constructing the island port, relocating the island's channel, and improving electricity and water supply quality. In response, the President provided updates on these issues through the attending Ministers.
