Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has congratulated the members of the Progressive Congress Coalition for their remarkable accomplishments in the parliamentary elections held on April 21.
Observing the noteworthy achievement of the ruling coalition, Vice President Latheef credited the achievement to the significant efforts and critical thinking of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The remarks were made on a social media post, which also expressed gratitude for public support in electing government candidates.
The preliminary results of the parliamentary election indicate that government candidates secured 71 out of 93 seats, marking it as the first time the party accomplished in securing the majority in the Parliament.
