The Managing Director (MD) of Fenaka Corporation Limited Muaz Mohamed Rasheed has revealed that efforts are underway to install smart meters aiming to address the issue of increasing electricity bills.
Addressing the media, MD Muaz disclosed that utility bills of households are increasing due to the increase in consumption of electricity. He affirmed that efforts are ongoing to resolve the issue. As such, the corporation has launched a project of introducing smart meters. With the installation of the smart meters, households will be able to monitor their electricity consumption on a daily basis, hence assisting to reduce the current bills.
Speaking regarding the project, Muaz unveiled that all the necessary preparations to launch the project have been completed. He further stated that the smart meters will first be installed in Kudahuvadhoo, Dhaalu Atoll.
