Business Center Corporation (BCC) has facilitated the sale of Maldivian local products in Washington, D.C., USA, through Authentic Maldives. Six products from Authentic Maldives are now displayed at the World Bank Headquarters,
BCC emphasised the importance of this initiative in showcasing Maldivian products to new markets worldwide, thereby enhancing their popularity and solidifying their position in the global market.
Moreover, Managing Director of BCC Ibrahim Ziyau expressed pride in facilitating opportunities for Maldivian creators, highlighting ongoing efforts to expand the reach of Maldivian products to other countries in the region.
Furthermore, BCC disclosed that the opportunity to showcase products in Washington, D.C., was exclusively offered to Maldivian female entrepreneurs, recognising the importance of promoting their products on the global stage. Currently, Authentic Maldives products are also available at two airports in Japan, Kansai and Narita International Airport.
In addition to outlets in Male', Crossroads Maldives, Velana International Airport, and Gan International Airport, BCC is working to expand Authentic Maldives by opening new outlets. Plans are currently in motion to establish an outlet in Thoddoo in Alifu Alifu Atoll.
These outlets collectively offer over 5,000 local products from more than 300 local producers.
