President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have arrived in Madinah to perform the Holy Umrah, with the hospitality extended by His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Upon their arrival at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the President and First Lady were warmly received by His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region.
The President was accompanied by the Minister of Islamic Affairs; Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Head Imaam of the Islamic Centre; Sheikh Mohamed Latheef, Chief of Staff, the President's Office; Abdulla Fayaz, Minister at the President’s Office for Presidential Affairs; Ali Arif and Minister at the President’s Office; Abdulla Nasir.
The President and First Lady's delegation are travelling on an aircraft arranged by the Saudi government.
