Minister stresses "Family First" in all aspects of life

Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham has emphasised the importance of prioritising the "Family First" policy in all spheres of life. Her message came commemorating the International Day of Families.

In her message, Minister Aishath highlighted the essence of a compassionate society. She underscored the significance of family structures. She stressed the need for fostering a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood within families, advocating for kindness, compassion, and cohesion. Emphasising that harmony and contentment underpin societal progress, she said that they form the cornerstone of national development.

Additionally, Minister Aishath urged for a daily commitment to prioritising family matters. She encouraged the adoption of "Family First" as a guiding principle across all facets of life. She advised allocating time and attention to the care of parents, nurturing bonds, and fostering parental relationships.

Furthermore, Minister Aishath advised bolstering connections between children and parents. She called for the preservation of family ties and emphasised the importance of extending support and affection, whether families reside together or are geographically distant.
