Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage Adam Naseer Ibrahim has stated that the bilateral ties between the Maldives and Palestine will strengthen during the tenure of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The remarks were made by Minister Adam Naseer in the meeting held with the Palestinian Minister of Culture Imad Abdullah Hamdhan during his trip to Azerbaijan. Following this, the Palestinian minister expressed his sincere appreciation for the close relations between the two nations, stating that he was privileged to meet a representative of the Maldives.
During the meeting, Minister Adam Naseer conveyed regards from the Maldives to minister and all the Palestinians, for the approval granted such that Palestine is a permanent member of the United Nations (UN). The minister additionally affirmed that the Maldives will continue to support the independence and sovereignty of Palestine in all international platforms.
The trip to Azerbaijan was made by Minister Adam Naseer upon an invitation, from the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. The minister represented the Maldives at the “Shusha- Cultural Capital of the Islamic World 2024” event, an event which highlights the rich cultural history of Shusha City.
