BML introduces Bank Fund to ensure societal support

Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced a Bank Fund with the aim of offering financial aid for developmental initiatives and supporting organizations to ensure societal welfare

BML has opened opportunities to submit proposals requesting for the fund. Decisions have been made to allocate USD12970 for the five developmental projects annually selected in the fields of education, environment, sports and society.

Regarding the introduction of the Bank Fund, BML's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Karl Stumke revealed the that the top priority of the bank involves investing in significant projects. The CEO stated that BML has provided financial assistance to 100 social projects since 2019, through the community fund. Meanwhile, the Bank Fund was introduced to ensure the provision of more opportunities to organisations.

Proposal requesting for the Bank Fund can be submitted by local organisations and clubs. Those interested are to submit proposals by June 10 before 2300hrs. BML disclosed that the application forms and proposals can be submitted via email: [email protected].
