President concludes oversees visit to attend SIDS4

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has returned to Maldives after attending the Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) in Antigua and Barbuda. During the conference, Dr. Muizzu served as a co-chair and urged the international community to fulfill its previous commitments and address the specific financing needs of Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

In his speech, President Muizzu also condemned the violence and aggression by Israel, calling for collective solidarity from SIDS leaders in support of the Palestinian people.

Throughout the conference, Dr. Muizzu actively participated in various discussions, sideline events, and held high-level bilateral and multilateral meetings. He was instrumental in advocating for the needs of SIDS and proposed several solutions aimed at identifying and addressing the unique challenges faced by these nations.
