Ahmed Shifan and Abdulla Shareef promoted to ACP

The spokesperson of the Maldives Police Service Ahmed Shifan and the head of the Central Policing Command Abdulla Shareef have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). The Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusan, presented the certificates of appointment to the two officers in a ceremony held at Iskandharu Koshi.

Shifan and Shareef were previously ranked as Chief Superintendents of Police before receiving this highest administrative promotion.

Abdulla Shareef currently serves as the head of Central Policing and Frontline Policing in the Malé area and has held positions as commander of various departments within the Maldives Police Service.

Ahmed Shifan was the first Executive Director of the National College of Policing and Law. He has also served as the Head of the Drug Enforcement Department and the Addu Police Academy.
