Club Immigration donates USD6,500 to help Palestine

The recreation club of Maldives Immigration, Club Immigration, has donated USD6,500 to support the citizens of Palestine.

Immigration stated that the funds were raised as part of the club's fundraising campaign. The funds were handed over to the International Aid Campaign (IAC) to be sent to the Palestinian citizens. The funds were handed over to the IAC by the Controller General of Immigration Mohamed Sham’aan Waheed at a ceremony held at the Immigration Office.

Speaking on the fundraising event, Sham'aan said the Immigration employees work as one family and will receive full cooperation from each other in any matter. He said that the crisis in Palestine is connected to the hearts of all Maldivians. He also said that Immigration officers will continue to help the Palestinian citizens.

Immigration stated that the fundraising initiative, all the employees of the institution have helped. There are many initiatives that can be undertaken to help Palestine. As such, the government has also decided to hold a special march across the country in support of Palestine.
