Parliament Speaker praises President Dr. Muizzu's efforts in Palestinian cause

Speaker of the Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is the first president to pay the greatest attention to the Palestinian conflict. These comments were delivered during discussions with members of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM)/People's National Congress (PNC) parliamentary group regarding their support for the telethon organised by Public Service Media (PSM).

Highlighting that the telethon originated from a recommendation by President Dr. Muizzu, Speaker Abdul Raheem emphasized the noble purpose behind the initiative. He revealed the parliamentarians' commitment to being the foremost responders to this cause.

Furthermore, Speaker Abdul Raheem stressed the importance of setting aside political differences to ensure the success of the telethon. He urged all individuals to contribute to the initiative.

The telethon, inaugurated today, will continue until 2200 hrs. A total of 13 charity boxes will be placed in the Male' City region. All fund boxes will remain open until sunset, except for the one at the TVM building, which will close at 2200 hrs. For those unable to visit the charity boxes, online donation channels are available. Two accounts have been designated for online donations: 7730000655865 for local transfers and 7730000655866 for dollar contributions.
