Parliamentarian Riza appointed as President of JSC

Parliamentarian Hussain Riza has been appointed as the President of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed him to represent the Parliament at the JSC.

Riza was appointed as the member of JSC on June 4. The president and vice president of the JSC are appointed by a vote among the members of the commission.

The JSC consists of ten members, including the Speaker of the Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla. Riza graduated from higher studies in the field of law. He previously served as the administrator of the Criminal Court as well.
