Ministry of Islamic Affairs has arranged to hold mass prayer congregations for Eid-al-Adha in six areas in the Greater Male' Region.
Speaking at a press conference, Minister of State for Islamic Affairs Moosa Anwar Hassan stated that while the mass prayer congregations for Eid prayer will be held in six locations, the Eid prayer will be held in 28 mosques in the Male' City region. The prayer congregations will be held at the King Salman Mosque, Masjid Al-Sultan Muhammad Thakurufaanu Al-Auzam, Maafannu Stadium, Villimale' Football Ground and in Hulhumale' Phase one and two.
The ministry has urged all individuals attending the mass prayer congregations to come well-prepared from home.
Furthermore, the ministry disclosed that the mass prayers are subject to favourable weather conditions. In case of unfavourable weather conditions, the mass prayers will not be held and the Eid prayer will be held at the Friday Mosque.
