Hajj Corporation ensures all pilgrims completed travel vaccinations

The Maldives Hajj Corporation has announced that all pilgrims who performed the Hajj pilgrimage under its supervision have completed the required travel vaccinations.

In a statement, the Hajj Corporation confirmed that the pilgrims adhered to the guidelines of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, ensuring they received vaccinations for polio, meningitis, and influenza. The corporation emphasised that the safety and security of the pilgrims were their top priorities.

A total of 1,150 pilgrims performed the Hajj pilgrimage with the corporation's assistance, with the majority being individuals above the age of 50. Among them, approximately 50 pilgrims were undergoing treatment for serious illnesses such as cancer and kidney disease. Additionally, several elderly pilgrims over the age of 70 performed Hajj with the aid of wheelchairs. To support these individuals, on-call health officials were deployed, and the corporation implemented various measures to ensure the health and safety of all participants.
