Maldives names road "Falastheenu Hin'gun" in honor of Palestinians

The Maldives has named a road "Falastheenu Hin'gun" to honor Palestinians.

The Male' City Council (MCC) observed that the road near Westpark and adjacent to Maafannu Madharusaa remained unnamed and decided to name it in tribute to Palestinian residents. The initiative demonstrates the Maldives' solidarity with Palestine and aims to commemorate the hardships and sacrifices of the Palestinian people for the sake of the Ummah.

The decision to name the road after Palestinians received unanimous approval from all members present in the assembly. The Council has yet to finalise a date for the official naming ceremony.

The Maldives has consistently shown strong support for Palestine on various international platforms. Numerous nationwide campaigns and fundraising events have been organized to provide financial assistance to Palestinians, reflecting the country's commitment to supporting Palestine.
