Business Centre Corporation (BCC) has participated in the Youth Co-Lab Summit 2024, held in the Philippines.
During the summit held from June 26 - 28, significant discussions were held on opportunities and challenges the youth faces to advance in commercial activities and other fields. BCC was represented by its Director Commercial Mohamed Jaushan. The corporation stated that the summit will assist in further enhancing the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and BCC, to increase the role of youth in the economy.
The Youth Co-Lab summit is a summit held by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with Citi Foundation. It aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.
BCC disclosed that in addition to workshops and panel discussions held in the summit, it served as a platform to meet and form ties with young entrepreneurs and to share common views. The summit further held discussions with government officials to discuss the challenges young entrepreneurs encounter and policies to implement to address the issue.
