MSS commences operations to Singapore and Malaysia

Maldives State Shipping (MSS) has decided to commence operations to Singapore and Malaysia. MSS stated that the trips pertaining to operations will start in Port Klang in Malaysia, Singapore and to Colombo in Sri Lanka, adding that they would be utilising their own vessel, MSS Graphene. The vessel is set for departure to Malaysia on July 13.

Speaking to PSM News, Managing Director of MSS Ahmed Shareef disclosed that the MSS Graphene has the capabilities to carry a total of 500 containers simultaneously, noting that the demand for these trips were high. Shareef stated that during the trips, goods will be first brought to the Colombian ports, adding that the goods will be then brought from Colombo to the Maldives from another vessel. He additionally revealed plans to commence operational trips of MSS to other destinations as well.

The MSS fleet consists of five vessels. It currently conducts trips from Colombo and Dubai to Male' City. While agents from over 30 different countries work in the company, the company has over 2,000 containers.

MSS revealed that it has the ability to bring goods from across the world to the Maldives.
