MSS exporting Maldivian fish to Southeast Asian countries

The Maldives State Shipping (MSS) has stated that it has got the opportunity to export frozen fish to Southeast Asian countries, as part of the collaborative work being done with the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO).

MSS disclosed that their first ship carrying frozen fish from the Maldives started its journey to Malaysia, Singapore, and Sri Lanka on July 14. The fish is exported using the cargo ship MSS Graphene.

The company notes that they have been successfully exporting fish from MIFCO and other Maldivian companies to European countries. As such, the company represents Hapag-Lloyd, the fourth-largest shipping line in the world. The company also have agents in more than 30 countries.

The MSS has a fleet of five cargo ships, with more than 2,000 containers. The company currently operates cargo ships from Colombo to Male' and from Dubai to Male'.
