Faresmaathoda Council discusses development needs with Gov't

Faresmaathoda Island Council has discussed the island's essential development needs with the government. The discussions were held with Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef during a meeting at the President's Office.

During the council meeting, the council members relayed several pertinent issues affecting the island. These include the need to complete the construction of the football ground, the necessity for improvements in the health sector, and the unfinished work at the port. Additionally, they raised concerns about the causeway linking the airport to Faresmathoda and the need to reclaim land for industrial use and housing.

During the meeting, Vice President Latheef stated that he would do everything possible to speed up the construction of the football field on the island. He assured the council members that their concerns would be promptly addressed through relevant Government channels.
