The Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has paid a dividend of USD 228,022 in the form of its first bond coupon. It is the first bond issued by MPL in the capital market.
The company opened for investment in the bond coupon on April 11, 2023, an opportunity many took. MPL deposited the profit into the accounts of the investors of the bond coupon on July 4. The First National Finance Corporation acted as the lead arranger in the successful issuance of the bond to the capital market.
The company further noted that investing in bonds is a good opportunity for those who want to save money for the future. Bonds can be listed on the Maldivian capital market with the permission of the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA).
